Marlene and Jacqui were a fantastic support when I really needed it. I came out of hospital on day 2, by which time I had extremely painful and sore nipples. By day 3 I was dreading every feed and in tears. My partner left a message on the Arrival Breastfeeding answer-phone and by that afternoon, Marlene was with us at our home, offering support and reassurance. They helped me to gain confidence in breast feeding, helping me to believe I could do it and that it was possible to master this thing called a ‘good latch’ that seemed so unfathomable at the time. They taught me to look after my breasts, to see them as ‘my tools!’ which needed looking after for this important task! They returned every call and always called me after visits to see how I was doing, so I didn’t feel alone with it. Marlene and Jacqui were always respectful, informative and un-pressurising in their approach. I am so happy to say that 7 months on I am still breast-feeding. Without the help of Marlene and Jacqui I don’t think I would have continued. Thank you Marlene and Jacqui I strongly believe your support means that the health benefits for me and my family will be ongoing.

I received support with breastfeeding from Marlene and Jacqui when my son was just two weeks old. Through a number of visits and phone calls, they discovered that my son was tongue tied and provided me with advice and support on the options available to us. They also suggested that I possibly had thrush which, along with a bacterial infection, was later diagnosed and treated by my doctor. My son is now nearly 6 months old and has been exclusively breastfed. I could not have reached this wonderful milestone without Jacqui and Marlene's support during those first 10 weeks of my sons life. They were always just a phone call away and provided vital support when I needed it most. I will always be extremely grateful to them both and have nothing but praise for this invaluable service.

I contacted Marlene and Jacqui through a recommendation from a friend from my NCT group. I was having a lot of pain breastfeeding as soon as I left hospital and by week two, I was unsure whether I could continue. Marlene and Jacqui visited me straight away after one phone call and immediately made me feel comfortable and not alone. They gave me lots of practical advice on attachment and explained things to me that I had not learnt about in the many books I had studied. After one hour with Marlene and Jacqui I felt back in control of my situation. I also realised that I would not have the answers to all of my questions and issues immediately, but that this was and still is, a journey with my baby that is always changing and evolving. Marlene and Jacqui visited me three times over the period of two weeks and phoned every day to offer support and I am happy to say that I am now enjoying breast feeding and baby and mum are very happy. This is an invaluable service and I am truly grateful for Marlene and Jacqui’s help.

Arrival breastfeeding support, founded by Marlene and Jacqui, does exactly what it says on the tin! Whether it's a friendly voice on the end of the phone, a home visit when you need more personal one-to-one support or practical advice amongst other breastfeeding mums at one of the open workshops, Arrival delivers it all. They are good-humoured, passionate about what they do and well-versed in all the research, studies and theories, so you don't have to be! Very highly recommended.

Without your advice on what to expect and suggestions on how to deal with problems I could have so easily given up. What I\'m trying to say is thank you. It\'s only now, with an almost 10 week old baby, that I can truely appreciate what an amazing gift it is being able to breastfeed my little one, so thankyou for all your help ! See you soon !

I found your sessions so helpful in the first 6-8 months or so of Em's life, not just for the feeding advice, but the support in general, and for that I am ever grateful to you both!

The tutorials have been really enlightening. I would (and have) thoroughly recommend them to anyone who would like to try breastfeeding to help avoid any concerns before they arise.

Marlene and Jacqui, well done on running this breastfeeding support group. I have received so much help from you, I wouldn't be able to go through all the hoops of breastfeeding without you. I have been attending the sessions since my son was born almost 11 months ago, and although I don't breastfeed any more, I now get advice on food, nutrition and balanced diet for my little one. I find your sessions very valuable.

Hi Jacqui and Marlene,
Just to wish you all the best with Arrival. as an ex Independent Midwife of 18 years, I know how important good appropriate support is for successful breastfeeding. You are offering an invaluable service - worth every penny - actually incredibly cheap!

Arrival's support was truly amazing. Feeding is such a pivotal part of having a baby. To have consistent, calm, non judgmental help with breastfeeding has changed it from something I felt I should do, to something I have thoroughly enjoyed and continue to enjoy.

Dear Marlene and Jacqui,
I wish something like this was available when I was breastfeeding. I know that any mothers who attend will find it very fulfilling.
